This Privacy Policy explains what personal information SunSwitch collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the website or sending us an enquiry, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

We collect only what you choose to give us, plus limited technical data that your browser sends automatically.

• Enquiry details. When you use a contact or quote form, we collect your name, phone number, address and the message you write, along with the date and time of submission and the part of the website the enquiry came from.
• Calculator inputs. The solar and EMI calculators ask for details such as your monthly bill, roof area, city, system price, down payment, interest rate and loan tenure. These are used in your browser to show an estimate. We receive them only if you include them in an enquiry.
• Messages on WhatsApp or phone. If you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email, we receive whatever you choose to send, such as your number and message.
• Technical data. Like any website, the servers that deliver the page and its third-party components can see your IP address, browser type and device information.

3. How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and contact you about solar products and services.
• To arrange site surveys, prepare quotations and, where you go ahead, carry out installation and after-sales support.
• To help with paperwork such as subsidy or net-metering applications, where you ask us to.
• To keep the website secure and working properly, and to improve it.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.

4. Where your information is stored

Enquiries submitted through the website are saved to a Google Firebase Realtime Database, hosted in the Asia-Southeast (Singapore) region, and are shown to our team in a password-protected admin area. Access is limited to authorised staff. Because the data is stored with a cloud provider outside India, it may be processed outside India.

5. Who we share it with

We share your information only where needed to run the website and serve you:

• Service providers such as Google (Firebase hosting and database), who process data on our behalf.
• Installation, finance and approval partners, such as installers, banks or lenders and electricity-board or subsidy authorities, but only when you ask us to proceed with a quotation, loan or application and only to the extent needed.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

6. Third-party services on this website

The website uses or links to services run by others, including Google Maps (map and directions), WhatsApp (chat links), Google Fonts, Font Awesome, Unsplash (images) and Google Firebase. When your browser loads or you click these, the provider may receive your IP address and device details and may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. We do not control them.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and this website does not run analytics tools. Third-party components such as Google Maps may set their own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some embedded features may then not work as expected.

8. Reviews and testimonials

Customer reviews shown on the website display the reviewer’s name and comments. If you would like a review about you corrected or removed, contact us and we will deal with it promptly.

9. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond, follow up and, if you become a customer, to provide warranty and after-sales support and meet legal and accounting requirements. After that we delete or anonymise them. You can ask us to delete your enquiry earlier at any time.

10. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including restricting admin access behind a password and using a reputable cloud provider. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information, such as bank or card details or ID numbers, through the website forms.

11. Your rights and choices

Under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may:

• ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy;
• ask us to correct or update inaccurate information;
• ask us to erase your information, unless we must keep it by law;
• withdraw your consent, for example to be contacted, at any time.

12. Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy
